This was a night cap after a long day of drinking some exceptional wines and it honestly held its own. Bold and bright, it was a great example of an Aussie Shiraz with complexity and finesse, plus big flavors. Smelling of beautiful pipe tobacco and blackberry jam, a little plum, and some violet and pepper. Medium bodied and round, but not flabby in the least. Some good spice and pepper notes contributed to a fruit forward palate, primarily blueberry, cherry, and plum.

Deep ruby, almost purple in its inkiness. with a ripe fruitiness like a black cherry candy. Fruit forward on the palate, almost to the point of being one-dimensional (though a luscious dimension) with plenty of blackberry and plum. Medium tannin, medium acidity, medium finish.

Beautiful Aussie wine. Lots of raspberry, mixed with some black fruit. Fruit forward for sure but not overly extracted. Tannins help balance this out as well. Nicely done.

With power, richness and finesse, it is hard to find a better mid range Shiraz. Food... No food...who cares? I love it!
