Was surprised to find this on a wine list in Calistoga, probably been there a while given the vintage, had to try it--there wasn't much furmint coming into CA before @Eric Danch --this was honeyed, lots of botrytis character, some tropical fruits, very textured, sort of a "dry" late harvest wine, delicious

Complex and concentrated, stone fruit, some petrol, raisins. Nicely balanced tannines and acidity keep it just juicy enough. Bit of an acquired taste.

Might be my favorite grape now! Love this because it is super pleasing to the nose and the palette. Fuller bodied for a white but no creaminess or oak whatsoever. Pairs beautifully with spicy foods.
