The priciest Ribera Sacra Ive had to date, & probably most subtle. Still, a potent acid backbone along with what always seems to me finely grained tannins (in Ribera reds). Paired nicely w fantastic eggplant parmigiana, less cheesy & mire oniony. Would be curious how these wines age. 2014

Not #Mencia, if #Nebbiolo, #Grenache and #PinotNoir had a three way this is what I would expect!

Love it. Beautiful mencia combination of fruit, earth, and floral. Great balance. Little sulphur on opening but blew off.

Super good, carefully defined, moderately light red wine. At Casa Mono NYC. 2010. No vintage on universal front label

Bloody nose iron ore. Vivacious with mouth drying minerality; reminds a little of volcanic island wine.

Shit son, this is a wonderfully complex light red. Leather, very well balanced tannins, almost a bit of quinine on the end. Merenzao for the win!
