On this Friday I am trying this Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. As the name says "Et Fille" or and daughter to honor my lovely Daughter Danielle the light of my life. The nose on this wine is a beautiful strawberry and red raspberry. On the palate gives a nice strawberry, minerality, though just a bit weak on the backend. There is some oak right on the backend. Nice all together.

Nose of dill, créme, strawberry, black pepper, and a touch of smokey, beef jerky.

Nice ripe red fruit: cherries and strawberries with med+ acidity and silky tannins. A touch of that cream and spice that was on the nose shows on the finish.

Really good stuff. Well balanced and nice integration of oak. I'm glad that there are new world producers out there who are not afraid to make a 12.1% ABV wine these days.

Give it some air. Feels young/tight initially. Very Long finish. Cranberry. Raspberry. Bright. Whole cluster stemmy spice? I feel like this might improve with a year or two in the cellar.. solid.
