Cuvée Sarah Bordeaux Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend

$19.99 marked down to $11.99. Sounds fishy to me, but that being said, not bad. Cassis, cocoa powder, cherry/raspberry fruit, cedar, cigar box, sweet vanilla, medium bodied/tannins and nice acid. Gotta say, for the price, this is a great food wine and can age a bit more for sure.

75% CS, 25% Merlot.

While lighter-bodied and far from memorable it is tough to be too critical when you can pick up this charming and very quaffable 8 year old Bordeaux Supérieur for $6.99 today at Grocery Outlet.

Dark red with an opaque rim. Aromas of ripe red fruit, cassis and cedar. Medium bodied with juicy pomegranate and blueberry notes highlighted by toasted oak and dark chocolate. Medium finish.

Aromatic black cherry upfront, black currant, and kind of a strewed strawberry vibe; sweet wood with a touch of toasted vanilla, and hints of cinnamon and baking spice with subtle bay leaf from the merlot and graphite; deep ruby, medium high tannin, a little unbalanced if you ask me but still nice; cab forward bordeaux blend at 70% Cab Sauv and 30% Merlot. A bit flat on flavor. $16 at BGarden. Tasted in comparison to opposite Bordeaux composition.

Absolutely stunninfg.....deep rich body with layers of taste.

You can’t argue about the region or vintage vs. price point. Very smooth and dry wine. Primary notes of licorice and earth. A bit flat without food. But hung well alongside grilled skirt steak tacos.

Extremely smooth and enjoyable for the price. A very dry wine that has tastes of dark berries. Would definitely buy again.
