I could have never blind tasted this and come close to it being a cab franc...cab sav, sure and about 20 other things too. It's much better than I would have ever guessed. Try it, it's a serious wine. Like it reads Vonnegut and wants to talk about the subtext kinda serious.

Pulled this one out of the cellar. Cedar, elegant, silky, smoke and stewed plums on the nose, zesty and bright, herbaceous with ultra dry cherry cola palate. Delightful. It’s aged very well.

Dark red color to it. The nose has soft tones of spices, raspberry, blackberry, chocolate. On first sip, quite tart, like lemons. Feels quite muted in flavor. Feels almost watered down. Little tannins on the end. Very underwhelming.

Pulled from the cellar, purchased 2 years ago at the vineyard. This bottle suffered from cork taint when we initially decanted, 12 hours later much of the taint has dissipated leaving notes of mint, strawberry and dried herbs. It wasn’t able to reveal its full potential but at least we got a hint of it.

Tasting at Nichol Winery. Cherry, dark berries, light smokiness along with an underlying herbaceous notes, soft tannins.

Elegant. So so elegant. Ruby red, dark fruit, hint of violet, light clean finish.

Friends from Vancouver brought this down. Smoke and lilting red fruit and bramble aromas. Light on its feet with prominent sour cherry and tobacco and green peppercorn notes. Great first impression BC wine.

A smoky and balanced wine with lots of fruit on the palate. This wine doesn't have the aromatics that I'm used to from a cab franc, but it more than made up for it with texture and body. Long finish. Nice barbecue wine.

Liked this a lot. Not a huge Cab Franc fan but haven't tasted much...this one was great. Smooth, blackberries & a bit smoky? Was a very welcomed change from a not so great one before it.
