2016 vintage. A delicious Saint-Emilion from the Vauthier family, and slightly ( about at least 40 times) less expensive than Ausone 2016. Don't expect anything flashy, this is an understated gentleman who feels no need to be the loudest in the room, but offers you a real captivating conversation. 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. 2015 vintage. Château du Moulin Saint-Vincent (Moulis) is probably the second wine of Château Moulin à Vent, an estate purchased by the Chinese group " Bordeaux Vineam" in 2013. A fully mature, soft and pleasant Bordeaux that I found in a supermarket for 8.95 euro. — 13 days ago

2023 vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (5,5%), and Petit Verdot (3,5%). Very seductive nose with cassis, blackberries, and a panoply of flowers, intertwined with the most delicate touch of oak. This is the second wine produced in the new stunning cellar, and the purity of the fruit is exemplary. While it doesn't lack power, it is also amazingly delicate. It may not have the weight on the mid palate of the 2022, but the finish is particularly impressive. The length is incredible. This can be enjoyed already, but it will age gracefully. Moreover, it is a bargain for the quality. Abv. 13%. — 2 days ago

2019 Château Les Marcottes, Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. I have huge respect for people who still produce these sweet wines that are difficult to make and unfortunately not very popular. Therefore, kudos to the Boudat family for producing this delicious, well-balanced sweet wine that is sold in supermarkets for a silly price (8 euro!). Abv. 13,5%. — 12 days ago

2020 vintage. I prefer this to the 2022 Laroze Labatisse from the same producer. According to the back label it is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot from vines close to the Pauillac appellation. A decent 6 euro petit Bordeaux. Abv. 13%. — 4 days ago

2014 vintage. No wood ageing ( like their cousins at Château Gilette, Sauternes). Mainly Sémillon, with a bit of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. The pale golden colour still looks very fresh. Delicate and refined. Pineapple, roasted pecan nuts and lime. Like the 2014 Sauternes vintage, there is a nice acidity that balances the sweetness. Good almond length. Abv. 12,5%. 2022 vintage. According to the back label, this is mainly Merlot on gravelly soils ( which in general are more suitable for Cabernet Sauvignon). Rather discrete nose of timid berries and a hint of flowers. In the mouth the acidity is quite pronounced (especially in the context of the warm vintage), dominating the fruit. On the website it is sold at 31 euro (which is ridiculously high compared to 2 wines around the same price I tasted next to it : Aspirant de Beychevelle 2020 and Baron de Brane 2022), but I bought the bottle for 16,22 euro in a supermarket ( which is still not very good value in Bordeaux for this quality).
