1 hour decant. This seems pretty much to be already in the sweet spot. This is seductive, new world, with dark fruit, pepper and vanilla. Almost CA Syrah like. I think this is the first bottling, which is the best fruit from Fay vineyard. — 7 years ago
Day one was a lot of barrel but day 2 that blew off and there are some nice ripe strawberry and lipsticky stuff. Boutght this for $15 and felt like it was money very well spent. — 7 years ago
Dry herbs and ripe strawberry on the nose. Decanted a couple hours. The color was starting to deteriorate but the flavors and nose are holding strong. — 7 years ago
Popped the cork 2.5 hours before the the first pour - no decant. Pretty nose with vanilla and perfumed violets. There is serious weight to the palate. Chocolate and blueberries. Still some tannin and acid there. I will keep my remaining bottle for 2-5 years. — 7 years ago
6 hour decant. It goes without saying that this was enjoyed too soon. Dark purple, almost black to the edge. Aromas of coffee, black currant, white pepper and smoke on the nose. Brooding on the palate with rich coffee and blackberry. Full tannins for days. Purchased at Costco for $70. — 7 years ago
This took about 10 minutes from being opened to start showing a rich strawberry and a very showy mineral nose. A nice juxtaposition from the riper and fuller 2015. This is lean and restrained. Funky and nice as always. I have a mag I think I will keep another 2 years. — 7 years ago
Made with BioD grapes - all Estate. This is lychee and wet river rocks all the way. It has nice body and will age for 10 years easy with the acidity. — 7 years ago
Pretty hard to beat the value on this one. $14. Enough structure, fruit and acidity to really enjoy with food. Focused Malbec Merlot character. — 7 years ago
An unoaked fruity wine but pretty peasant day 3 and it has nice aromatics. Good every day drinker. — 7 years ago
