Really quality rosè. Bright red fruit on the nose. Tart cherry on the palate. Insane mouth watering acidity. Easily drinkable, yet memorable. Paired excellent with a pan roasted chicken and jam reduction. — 8 years ago

Yao would really love this. Smooth, big, rich Napa cab. Good amount of age on it but can probably still stand another year or two. Give me a glass of this and a steak any day. — 12 years ago

This is a big BOY! Yao Ming Family Reserve pricing in at 275 a bottle is DAMN GOOD as it should be. I was able to grab a few bottles for 165 a pop! If this were the normal price I would give it a perfect 10. Blackberry and dark currant on the beginning is followed by raspberry and vanilla. The oak explodes at 3/4 palate time. The the finish leaves a tingle of black pepper and asphalt. It has a VERY DRY finish. Love this wine, BUT WAY OVER PRICED!!!!!! — 6 years ago

Friday fire up for Ringo Starr and his all star band concert!! Double decant (min sediment). An intriguing medium ruby red/purple. On the nose: black cherry, cassis, tobacco. Taste: blackberry, toasted oak, blueberry, minerals, pencil lead...some unresolved tannin..give it just a few years.

Stopped by their beautiful Napa tasting room on a very quiet Sunday morning last week(we were the only one there....friendly, knowledgeable staff). In honor of Yao Ming, here is a quick review of the 3 wines we tasted:
2016 Yao Ming Napa valley cab....2 pt shot inside the paint.
2016 Yao Ming reserve cab...2 pt..three point attempt, but foot on the line.
