J Vineyards & Winery

Winemaker's Selection Monterey County Pinot Noir 2021

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, I purchased a favorite labeled wine and happened to notice this one on the shelf. So I purchased it as well. We feel that it has a nice bouquet, very smooth finish, no acidity, and delicious palette. It is a remarkable wine for the price. — 3 months ago

Panther Creek

Winemaker's Cuvée Pinot Noir 1995

Tom Elliot
9.1

Drinking quite well for a 30 year old from a media panned vintage. I should add that I’ve had a fair number of pleasurable experiences with aged 1995s. In fact, Domaine Serene’s 1995 from magnum last year was flat out great. Back in these days the Winemakers Cuvée was the entry level Panther Creek Pinot Noir. This one today is not at all tired by color, aroma, or taste. Blackberry fruit, firm fresh acidity, and resolved tannins. Has granular sediment poking three-fourths in that should be decanted off. My mistake but still enjoyable to the end. — 6 months ago
