Rich and mouthfilling, grapey but not raisiny, dark fruits and subtle spice, delightful nose advertising the flavors to come, a tad bit of alcohol on the finish but that’s my fault—I was so eager to drink this beauty that I chose not to decant first. I had the 1995 vintage and it tasted amazingly fresh for a 26-year old bottle. Paired with a flavorful French blue, Fourme d’Ambert, and a Welsh Cheddar, with good bread, toasted walnuts and fig preserves. Bliss. — 5 years ago
Wine No. 8 in the field of 8 Cabernets from the 2009 vintage tasted blind and it proved to be the consensus Winner by a narrow margin over the Les Forts. I loved this and the Palmer 8 years ago at the Cape Mentelle tasting and they remain stunning wines. A wonderful perfume of red flowers, plums, and earth. Medium to Full Bodied with great length. Two of the tasters, long time wine professional, Ken Gargett and Dr Mark Welsh ( head of the Chevaliers in Australia) each gave this wine 98 points. This was Margaret River at its best. dark ruby violet; cassis, licorice, mocha, vanilla, cedar; intense, concentrated flavors with plum, black cherry, bit of spice; full bodies, good acidity, supple tannins, 14.5% ABV; sourced from Panek, Pellet, Larkmead, and Kennedy vineyards, project of Thomas Rivers Brown and Genevieve Marie Welsh, great appellation level wine at $65 — 7 years ago
Had for Christmas Eve. Effervescent, red berries, and a wee bit sour. — 8 years ago

The welsh would call it Lush - it’s full of great flavour and is deep in currants and vanilla overtones.
Good legs and stands out. Impressed. — 4 years ago
Whisky burns a bit but is very smooth — 5 years ago
Blackberry rambles, country lanes. This Welsh wonder took me out to Septembers in my youth, with the aromas of rip fruit. Smooth, easy drinking, just what the doctor ordered. — 5 years ago
Tasty.
Apparently the Welsh call it chateau neuf de papepity-pape 🏴 — 6 years ago
A good solid white wine. Had what I refer to as an initial zing on the palate but after a couple of sips this subsided to more of a general tangy acidity. Flavour lingers long after a sip and generally very pleasant. Consumed with pork and Welsh cheddar sausages, herbed new potatoes and carrots and they worked okay together but found the wine more enjoyable solo than with the meal. — 7 years ago
Great start to our long weekend in Napa. Lindstrom is made by Celia Welsh, a superstar winemaker in Napa. A great nose of bluefruit and spice. On the palate I get really nice flavors of blueberries, dark currants, cocoa and baking spices. The tannins are ultra-sleek and very nicely integrated with the acidity. This wine is very drinkable today but most likely ages for another decade. Paired nicely with our Porterhouses. — 8 years ago

Brought this gin back from Aberystwyth, the town on the Welsh coast where Prince Charles studied the language before becoming the Prince of Wales. This one is spicy and piney. Reminds me of a Welsh version of St. George's Terroir Gin. Enjoying it over a bit of ice. — 6 years ago
Another Welsh wine, this one from the north and made from Solaris. High acidity and very floral. Dry apple juice. — 7 years ago

Not bad at all for a medium-full bodied red wine that pairs well with Welsh/ creamy cheddar for its price point — 8 years ago
