Popped and poured; consumed over two days. My second time enjoying the 1995 Gran Reserva (the most recent release from LdH). The wine pours garnet with a translucent core accompanied by some fine sediment and a slightly watery rim. Medium viscosity. On the nose, high intensity and seems to have some VA. There’s also a little bit of the funk too. Highly perfumed with cherry, red rope licorice, balsamic, cumin, horse saddle, dill, and iron rich earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium++ acid. Tart cherries and again with the red rope licorice. Also, there are blackberries and plums, buzz buttons, iron, tomato, leather, olives and exotic spices. Long, savory finish. Despite being 26 years from vintage, the wine comes across super bright and fresh. Just lovely. — 2 years ago
27.10.2023 Pfaffle Sand Muskateller is an amazingly aromatic wine. Crispy and easy to drink with good oysters. Though this occasion was not the case, I organized a tasting at my work and it was greatly appreciated. This moment was desired since last Friday, when the tasting didn't happen for some reason.

Strawberry and plum, surprisingly also some baking spices, sweet entry, medium low tannins, fruity on the palate as well. Unbeatable price at 9.9 euros. — a year ago

Light golden color. Aromas of expressive white flowers, grapefruit and orange. Fruit forward palate includes citrus, white peach, pear, apricot and a slight hint of sweet spice. Medium bodied, crisp, well balanced with a pretty long finish. No sign of RS. Pleasant surprise. — a month ago
