Nice crunchy red fruit here together with some bitterness that I like. — 7 years ago

Although still very young this Pinot Noire already shows a lot of potential. The price/pleasure ratio is rather good.
Typical smell cherries, quite some tennins but most of all melting in your mouth. Solid nine points for me. — 3 years ago
Very light but balanced between fruit and tannins. — 5 years ago
Dry, clear fresh acid, some minerals, was good with local white fish — 7 years ago
This is perhaps the best Sauvignon Blanc I have ever tasted. In fortunately it is almost one of the most expensive (48 Euros / 0.7 l bottle). Still, if I did fancy Sauvignon Blanc this would be a buy. However, I prefer other grapes. Bottom-line, I highly recommend this exceptional wine to those who fancy Sauvignon B. Perfect smell, very balanced with almost optimal flavours. A BIG wine, as promised by the „Opus-Oskar“ seal of the vineyard that is reserved only for the cream of the crop. — 3 years ago
Suprise of the lot for me. Only thing I would nitpick was that it showed a little more petrol note than I like and it felt a little riper than the rest. That said, it was solid! Very dense, the most so in the lineup I reckon. Ripe stone fruits, ginger (candied even), white flowers, very stony and salty. Finish was quite impressive. No GG, but definitely playing in that level - rightfully so I guess, since Sonnenberg is a Grosses Lagen. — 5 years ago

@Delectable Wine this the Schweigener Chardonnay.
From southern Pfalz, directly on the French border, this is very French in style, indeed. Very Chablis’esque.
Cool, crisp, quite modern, with decent wood present but the limestone minerality & austerity shining through.
Dried herbs, ripe lemons, yellow stone fruit. A touch of red apple perhaps. Fresh & zippy. The wood is (already now) very nicely integrated, brining a slightly creamy mouthfeel and beautifully counter balancing the limestone minerality.
Nice depth & purity here. Great drinkability, too. A nice alternative to Chablis more than Cote de Beaune or Chalonnais.
Nice stuff! — 10 days ago
