A high-end gamay, which at the age of 8 really tastes (great) Burgundy. The nose beautifully mixes infused vegetal notes and red fruits, all supported by delicate oak notes. The mouth is lively, with chew, of great finesse, leading the tasting to a persistent finish. An amateur wine.

Un gamay haut de gamme, qui du haut de ses 8 ans goûte vraiment la (grande) Bourgogne. Le nez mêle magnifiquement notes végétales infusées et fruits rouge, le tout soutenu par de délicates notes de fût. La bouche est vive, avec de la mache, d’une grande finesse, conduisant la dégustation vers une finale persistante. Un vin d’amateur. — 3 years ago

Second tasting 10 months apart and always a favourite for me. CNDP with a northern character, red fruits, livelyness marked with notes of red fruit, cranberry, herbs, peppery, blood orange. Superb vivid material in the mouth, intertwining with intensity tannins and acidity. Even after 9 years it still seems very young and lively. Wine that may confuse some consumers in search of classicism.

Deuxième dégustation à 10 mois d’intervalle et toujours coup de cœur pour moi. CNDP au caractère septentrional, fruits rouges, vivacité marquée aux notes de fruits rouge, canneberge, végétal et poivré, orange sanguine. Superbe matière vive en bouche, entrelaçant avec intensité tanins et acidité. Même au bout de 9 ans ça paraît encore très jeune et vif. Vin qui pourra dérouter certains consommateurs en recherche de classicisme. — a year ago

Ruby, Violin, translucent and vibrant color. Gilliard is a Swiss domain in Valais. Cuvée honoring the fruit. Seductive nose on the freshness of youthful Syrahs: violet, lupine, blueberry and mountain berries... with aeration, pepper imposes itself along the entire length of the palate carrying a loose body without looking like it. The acidity is lively and brings charm to this tasting. The winemaking is fine and controlled. Northern expression of the syrah full of nuances, with contained strength.

Gilliard est un domaine Suisse du Valais. Cuvée mettant le fruit à l’honneur. Nez séduisant sur la fraicheur des Syrah de jeunesse: violette, lupin, myrtille et baies des montages.. avec l’aération le poivre s’impose sur toute la longueur du palais portant
un corps ample sans en avoir l’air. L’acidité est vive et apporte du charme à cette dégustation. La vinification est fine et maîtrisée. Expression septentrionale de la syrah tout en nuances, avec une force contenue. — 2 years ago

The nose is really superb, between bright notes of fruit (citrus fruits, apricot stones), barrel notes. Lively mouth, beautiful minerality, gunstone, notes of onion, poultry. Balanced, well-built body. Superb finish also, bringing together the tasting bouquet. Nice pleasure!

Le nez est vraiment superbe, entre notes vives de fruits (agrumes, noyaux d’abricot), notes de fût. Bouche vive, belle minéralité, pierre à fusil, des notes d’oignon, volaille. Fruity open nose. After an hour in a decanter, the wine delivers well, with primary notes of crunchy red fruits. Fresh and lively, well contained, a lot of finesse here with already notes of undergrowth, humus. Fine, depth. Nice aging potential.

Nez ouvert fruité. Après une heure en carafe le vin se livre bien, sur des notes primaires de fruits rouges croquants. La fraîcheur et vive, bien contenue, beaucoup de finesse ici avec déjà des notes de sous bois, humus qui commencent déjà à poindre. Finesse profondeur.
