Structured approachable Barolo. Excellent on a wintery night with salmon in Palo Alto — 3 days ago
Expressive nose, a bit reduced at first, then on ti ripe cherries, cocoa, liquorice , plums. Ample bodied, son of a dry and hot vintage, acidity that holds the alcohol and hood length and youth for a 2012. Remarkable, unexpected village, Albelda, must be the high land on the way to Clavijo. — a year ago
Opener pre meal. Maybe the beginning of a love affair: only the 3rd Timorasso I’ve tried; waxy white fruits, mildly floral on nose, a bit of that wooly thing reminiscent of Chenin Blanc; also, similar texture. Moderate acidity. Delicious stuff that suits strong smelly cheese & charcuterie. — 12 days ago
Luscious and dry — 2 months ago
Senses immediately overloaded, in a good way, with a bouquet of lavender tea, smoked cherrywood, tobacco, cedar, vanilla, and as someone here astutely observed, Alpine herbs. Buried underneath that is wild mushroom, wild raspberries, and cherries. Lasting nice finish, though a bit heavy on the alcohol compared to its southern nebbiolo cousins, but given the sforzato Amarone-like production process, this makes senses. One of the finest reds I've had in some time, certainly on par or better than the other nebbiolo I've tasted.
Better yet, I scored this for a steal of a price at a local Total Wine who either thought this was too old or didn't know what they had. — 7 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90min. The 2020 Langhe Nebbiolo “Pian delle Mole” pours a pale garnet with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red fruits: Morello cherry, loads of tar, dusty earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose though the red fruits show more like ripe strawberry. Finish is medium. Drink now. — 20 days ago
