Fruity, dry, apéro time — 2 years ago
This is for the rouge, which was not listed. Lovely vanilla and baking spices on the nose. Very unique! A bit of tannin, but not too much so. On the palate I can't identify a specific thing, but maybe some dark fruits. Wow, never had these grapes before and they are so different than the traditional ones we are familiar with (GSM, for example). Love this! — 2 years ago
Light rose gold color. Smells of strawberries and shale rock. Dry and crisp, with a hint of green apple. Lovely. — 2 months ago
The aroma from this wine fills the room! However, as delicious and complex as the flavors are, in total it feels subtle and subdued; a couple years past prime. A beautiful acidity remains present from front to back, and makes the wine exceptionally food friendly — 8 months ago
One of top sites in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, lies just below Île, lower on the slope with more clay and iron, planted in 1954. Straw yellow color with rich stone fruits, floral and toasty notes. On the palate flavors of apple and ripe pear with citrus, biscuit notes and gentle spice, great mouthfeel. Long finish ending with fruit, vanilla, toasty biscuit and a mineral tang. Nice! — 6 months ago

Yves Leccia’s 2019 Île de Beauté IGP Rouge is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Niellucciu, hailing from the northerly appellation of Patrimonio, Corsica.
Île de Beauté – the namesake for many wines produced on the island – translates to ‘island of beauty’ in English.
This is a beautiful wine, indeed. It is medium ruby with ripe cherry, strawberry, and kirsch notes leaping out of the glass; it also offers licorice, fennel, violet, and subtle meaty characteristics. The fruit is unmistakably intense and concentrated. I suspect it’s a reflection of the dry, sun-soaked climate on this beautiful, mountainous Mediterranean Island.
This is such a versatile and food-friendly wine – it’s definitely worth a taste if you have the chance (preferably while gazing upon Corsica’s coastal seascapes). Cheers to the wines of Corsica! — 2 years ago
