Terre s Di San Vito blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon — a year ago
Saw the other note about Big Top— this bottle also from Big Top some years ago for $6. It started out rough, but after 30-40 minutes it’s pretty darn amazing. — 4 years ago

There is a bit of caramel, licorice and cherry with some rose petal scent on this nose. A wide spectrum of scents and feelings to associate it with. The palate is really easy going with a good acid drive, rather straight forward, some matter, some grip on the sides, a spherical mid palate and tannins which tend to expand it and make it wider before a finish with red fruit notes and a fresh after taste that last for a while. Second attempt with this wine in this vintage and it clearly leads me to dig dipper into bardolinos. — 5 years ago

Business in the front, party in the back Friulan style. Intense aromatics of sage, beeswax, kiwi, fennel pollen, yellow blossom, honeydew, hay. On the palate, a little peach Bellini action (ripe peach yet never sweet). Really complex, lovely wine. Needs San Danielle prosciutto to make it super special. — 10 months ago
Very smooth, silky. Soft ending that’s great with my lasagna. — 4 years ago

See previous Note. Old plummie, red cherry notes. Barb said dusty and pine needles. A cooler vintage. I said red cherries and freshly tilled loam. As Galloni said “In 2010 Ama did not bottle their single vineyard selections. All the best fruit went here.” Tasting more the quality of a Brunello than a Chianti Classico. No. 6 in Wine Spectators Top 100 for 2015. — 25 days ago
