Vintage 2022 | Purple colour, not crystal clear, colour reminds me of Gamay Cru or Blaufränkisch, but no: Mondeuse grape! The vineyard of Relief Savoyard is made up of a mosaic of terroirs shaped by the glaciers. Light cherries and raspberry smell, supple tannins, great with food. Lovely wine. Deep ruby, bilberries and blackcurrants then, on the palate, tannic, oaky notes bob up. Fortunately these dissipated as we enjoyed the wine with our meal.
Made in the seriously hot year, 2003, by very young vignerons who continue to impress!
