Wife’s bday year and sipping the Stag’s Leap District Cab. Secondary and tertiary notes are hard to get through. Softens after an hour+ decant but still super funky. Nonetheless structure is there and a whisper of fruit remains. — 4 years ago

Inspired by friends sharing a 1984 Vichon I just had to check this.
In a blind tasting I could have guessed Heitz Martha's (or BV GdL) from a lesser vintage.
A nice wine and your miles may vary but as with lots of other Napa 1984's I just don't find much charm.
