Somm suggested double decanting because her last bottle had “funk”.
This bottle did not demonstrate any funk.
As expected , air was needed as the nose was not very giving. After 40 mins a spicy nose developed along with a mixture of red and dark fruits. Very firm, but balanced in the mouth with the fruit joined by some earth. Tannins fighting for attention . Vermelho cereja intendo com tons de rubi, aroma de rosas, morango e cereja. Tantos elegantes e boa acidez. Harmoniza bem com massas leves e saladas.

It is a Handpicked reserve Merlot from Colchagua Valley. Not as sweet as other Merlot, has a nice bitterer taste, quite memorable. — 5 years ago
