On opening this is quite muted and closed with a bit of funkiness and reduction.
After a bit of air it opens up with red fruit, tomato leaf, sun dried tomatoes and some flowery whiffs.
Medium bodied with great flow. The tannins velvety and fully integrated, the acidity juicy, with cherries & red fruit. Great depth here and nice elegance.
Judging by nose, this has still years ahead.

Unclear why I never rated this one, but even more than a month the ago,I can recall this 2007 Brunello galloping into it's prime, like an earthy, tobacco-ey stallion, with elegant dark fruits and oh so velvety tannins. #CumQuibus #SanGimignano — 10 years ago
