Man, what a treat. Awesome, long finish & incredible balance. This has a great, peppery, cola nose. What a find thru TastingMerchants.com. — 5 years ago
Upon opening, a big hit of undissolved SO2 on the scratchy back palate. After a day’s aeration, a lovely, medium-weight Pinot. Cola, roasted plums, pie spices...not unlike an old Tulocay Pinot Noir! Fun stuff. #pfalz #spätburgunder — 7 years ago
Dark fruit forward, slight white pepper and kissed by oak. It’s like winter comfort food in a bottle. Yummy. — 2 months ago
Starts of with a lovely frenchie funk on the nose, then opens into dusty plum, blackberry bramble, anise, violet, dried shiitake, and other delightful intangibles. Took a little bit to open up, but it just reminds me why I love Tulocay and Coombsville so much. — 6 years ago
Inky at first glance and wonderful eucalyptus on the palate. Structured tannins, smooth earth, and bit of pepper. Exceptional. — 7 years ago
Inaugural vintage. Terrific. #tulocay — 2 years ago
My favorite wine Bill and his daughter make. Exuberant, balanced, handmade. Great reference for Coombsville CH, lively spine, just ripe pommaceous fruit, orange oil, peach blossom, contrasted by baking spice, deft oak, creamy lees, vanilla and fresh brioche dough. Generous on the palate, not top-heavy at all. — 7 years ago
1987 vintage. It has some funk but it's held up well. — 8 years ago
