Not as sweet as 2019 — 4 years ago

Chicken paprikash can be tricky with its complex peppers and rich creaminess. This wine was lush and lovely: a great pairing. — a year ago
Great value and decent Shiraz — 4 years ago
2007 Las Cases. Delicious but young Bordeaux. Enjoyed with rabbit leg confit with lentils. — 5 years ago
2022/12/22-24. This was an interesting but tricky bottle. It went through many phases over several days - hard, stony and a bit alcoholic, raisiny (though not sweet), lively and rich and balanced, herbal red fruit... At first I was a bit disappointed as I generally love Montigiano and Bilaccio, but I think this showed that it just might need a bit more time to settle down, and could be pretty great when it does. — 2 years ago
Firstleaf - pear, crisp, porch drinker, minerality, mild acidity — 3 years ago
One of the few times I gave a wine time to open up and decanted it. Very smooth and even my husband enjoyed a few sips (not a wine drinker). I have a few bottles of 2019 and am wondering how they will compare — 4 years ago

Pale ruby in color; cherries, hibiscus, and cloves on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like raspberries, tart cherries, and wet slate with a long finish. Nellie doesn't like it (she says it's tart and chimically), but I love it. — 7 months ago
