A rich earthy Shiraz typical of its Heathcote origins. Full bodied - savoury dried plum with herbs and a meaty component. This wine has a long way to go in the cellar - has firm but mellow tannins. Bindi is an excellent well recognised producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Macedon (just north of Melbourne), so it’s nice to see him turn his winemaking talents to Shiraz from Heathcote. Had my 2nd and last bottle 61 weeks later on 30th November 2023. Excellent wine, notes as previous with that meaty component standing out. Very savoury. I like the fact that this not a blood and thunder full bodied Heathcote blockbuster. Medium plus bodied - very earthy. — 2 years ago

Cagey and shooting thunder looks at first but finally relaxed into a secret dream forest. — 5 years ago
Lighter delicate reds lose thunder to bolder more sumptuous wines, but this dolcetto is prune and cranberry on the nose which starts singing after each taste. A perfect compliment to chicken and rich and memorable after the last bite. — 3 years ago

First rum I’ve ever liked, I’m 40 years old and whenever i drank rum I always gagged and felt the burning from the sins of a thousand years of hell burning inside my face, throat, and chess. This rum, however, felt like a hot cup of tea during a fall thunder storm. Perfection! — 5 years ago
