My last of these, with the prior two bottles a bit drying on the finish and lacking fruit/energy. This was the complete opposite, in a good way… dark tawny color with amber in the rims. Exotic, awesome old Barolo nose. Notes of cherry, rose petals, balsamic vinegar, anise and a little road tar. Silky in the mouth. Awesome balance of fruit and structure. Still has some grip. Just shows that bottles can always surprise and deliver something special. Paired perfectly with the Sopranos movie and a big ol’ charcuterie plate. — 5 years ago
Ruby red, cedar, crushed dried roses, earthy earthy like mushrooms, cherry glaze.
Wine just wakes me right up!
Mmmm jammy, delicious, spice component with cinnamon and red pepper kick. Well-balanced acidity, harmonious sips, really playin up the medium body.
Lovely. Good find at Frankly in Tribeca!
Perfect to watch The Sopranos with (apparently Schioppettino translates to gunshot). I mean come on… — 4 years ago

Figured a good, cheap, Italian wine with some Sopranos. Also this feels a little weird. Ben - you're the only person following me. So....I guess let me know what you think. — 12 years ago

What can I say about this wine that hasn’t already been said about Concorde, AGA ranges, or the second season of “The Sopranos?” — 2 years ago
