Mean saline pristine chenin from the renegade Réau...kumquat and green apple with a zippy bite at the end — 4 years ago
Stunner. Deep golden amber. Rather oxidative but tropical fruit notes leading to unctuous yet lively texture and explosion of mature fruits on palate and long finish. Paired perfectly with Andrew’s shrimp in olive oil garlic pasta with parsley! Four Half bottles. Two ‘95 full. AA20 ea. Two days stored sealed in Florastor bottle, tried with Kalbi and baby bok choy from David’s mom and paired really well! Better than the red blend Renegade. — 4 years ago

On the nose licorice, cherry vanilla, blackberry. Palate floral, smooth, oak, violet. Smooth yet dry. Renegade Wines recommended. Small production. Excellent for the price. — 4 years ago

Recently picked up at Renegade Wine in Santa Barbara. A touch cloudy with a dark garnet red. A bit of stewed fruit on the nose, followed up by earthiness and a hint of baking spices. Medium body with medium minus tannins (4/10). Similar notes on the palate and smooth rounded finish. Drink now. — 2 years ago
Costco $12. Very smooth and drinkable. A little sweeter than ideal. — 5 years ago

Medium ruby hue. Aromas of caramel, cassis, jam, pepper, plum, strawberry, tar, vanilla. Palate adds more baking spice and strawberry. Medium body, medium tannins, medium-plus acidity. Plus-length finish. 57% Syrah, 33% Petit Verdot, 10% Malbec. Versatile red blend. — 4 months ago
