Winery owned by same majority owner of Screaming Eagle and Bonneau du Martray. A pleasant surprise at age 14, still incredibly fresh with a Burgundian flair and toasty reduction. Fleshes out gaining weight and detail with air. Most definitely drinks above its price point. — 4 months ago
동하집들이. 와인상가에서 용수가 15만원으로 가져옴. 첨에 엄청 강하고 맛있다가 금방 퍼짐. — 3 years ago
Lovely silky texture, seamless fruit and not even a hint of a hard edge. Maybe missing a little Je ne sais quoi? I feel like I should have loved it more. — 4 years ago
This chardonnay is a gastronomic wine and will pair very well with chicken, pork and fish. I drank it with Sous Vide prepared salmon with lemon risotto and it was excellent and made the wine smoother. The complex flavors in the wine like lemon and custard are very intense and the the acid, fruit and mineral are very well balanced. A bone dry chardonnay and probably not everyones cup of tea. — 6 years ago
Superb wine surprise from special dinner guests. They know our pallet. Everyone will enjoy this. It’s a treat. — 8 years ago
Persimmons, mango, citrus.
Chewy, green apples, crispy.
Radiant. Rich. Bouncy acidity. Lemon oil.
This was the most beautiful barn in existence. Modern. Spacious. Looking out in belly onto this expansive field of vines. — 2 months ago
The Paring’s 2019 Red is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend from the team at Jonata and The Hilt. It soars from the glass with wild flowers, herbs, blood orange and red-fleshed fruit. Elegant and nuanced, the Red is also a tremendous value. $20.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2022) — 4 years ago
I’ve had two cases of this in the past year - seem to grab a bottle every other trip to the cellar. It never fails to please. — 8 years ago
Lights out. Knock out. Thought this might be past its prime, but the first whiff raised an eyebrow and the first sip made me howl like Ric Flair. Stunning and right at its apogee. The best Northern California Syrah I’ve ever tasted. Decadent blackberry and boysenberry, with an array of meat from coppa to bacon, and seasoned to the hilt with pepper. Clove, leather, and lavender, with savory minerality that is killer. — 8 years ago
Terroir driven, cool climate whole cluster Syrah, lots going on, vegetal, dark fruit, clover. Juicy! — 4 months ago
1979 vintage. Above average fill with a fully saturated cork. Used a Durand but corkscrew segment wouldn't insert to the hilt. Cork kept spinning. Got 3/4's the way in before deploying the ah-so segment. Able to remove the cork in two acts. Decanted with gigantic sed. Super lean but with staying power. LFDL consistently rates as one of the best (if not THE best) 2nd label in BDX. 1979 wasn't the best vintage but the pedigree is unimpeachable and this carries along a zippy, spice box component. Should have another 5-6 years at this level. 7.6.24. — 2 years ago
한남트랄라. 처음엔 헨델처럼 완전 달고 맛잇는 샤도네이인데 금방 퍼짐 — 5 years ago
This wine plays the outlaw image to the hilt. Lodi Cab faces off in a dusty street against Napa Cab, the fastest gun in town. They both shoot straight, but in different directions. Three Finger Jack has a nose of rustic black fruit, tar, forest floor, with only a hint of graphite. The palate leans in a more elegant direction, but still stands its ground as an “outsider.” It's a delightful drink, with plenty of pairing power and the tannic structure to prove it. — 7 years ago
