such a funny experiment in expectation vs reality - if this was a chardonnay i wouldn't have batted an eye, but given that i was expecting something adjacent to muscadet this was a revelation. rich, textured citrus with a soft mineral core. opened up beautifully offering more and more fruit over time. would be perfect with some ricotta, mortadella and focaccia. — 10 months ago
The last of the Eyrie Muscat, sadly. Super aromatic, peaches, passion fruit, tropical fruits, but dry on the palate and finish with good acidity. — 8 months ago
This is like, “the occult” of the wine world, Pinot Noir’s evil twin, per se. The color is medium, not pale ruby. The nose has pronounced notes of roses, red cherry, cranberry, hints of wet leaves and leather… on the palate the wine is dry, medium alcohol, highly tannic, highly acidic, and full bodied. You perceive moderate flavours of ripe red cherry, some spice even, somewhat round with a long complex finish. One of the most interesting wines I’ve ever, ever, ever ever ever, tested. I could keep going about this wine but ultimately, you just got to try it. Cheers. — 3 months ago
The classic - wild strawberry and earthy funk with a dry, long finish. Impossibly light, featherweight red, and elegant. — 8 months ago

2021 vintage. Old-school producer still bringing old-school style. Light-medium body. Earth, cinnamon, mushrooms, tobacco, rhubarb, clove and fall leaves all to be found within. Just keeps going and going. 3.27.24. — a month ago
