Bought at a good wine retailer in Barcelona. Made from 100% Carignan grapes from 80 year old vines and vinified in concrete tanks - zero oak influence. I made no notes but I do remember enjoying it as a great food wine and highly savoury. Drank this last week in Spain. — 25 days ago

Our last lunch in Priorat at a little restaurant in Falset, and no formal notes but keen to try again. Interestingly this winery was started by Dominik Huber and the irrepressible Eben Sadie of South African Syrah fame. This was a typical rich Priorat blend of mainly Grenache with Carignan. First, I have a case. So, I will be commenting more later. The deep red color, viscosity apparent in the glass, and the beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers and red fruits, all conspire to create an expectation that is exceeded on the palate. Floral strawberry, hints of vanilla, and soil. Medium plus bodied, medium plus alcohol, medium acidity, soft ripe tannins. Not a single edge or corner-- a perfect sphere in the mouth. It subsides slowly, and you are left to believe you were in Bordeaux. — a month ago
