Dark, dry, high tannin wine made from whole cluster fermentation and low temperature; no oak. We visited this small charming winery a few years back just south of Mendoza. A small family operation. The father had worked for years for one of the large wineries. Then saved enough money to start his own on just a few hectares. Stacking in the grape plants with double and triple levels of cordons for maximum light interception in this tight area. I could swear they had named each of their grape plants. Well crafted wines, very balanced. — 3 years ago
An over the top experience. Starts with vanilla blossom (noticeable new oak $$) and then the highest floral concentration I have ever experienced. It’s like sticking your nose in a fresh jar of super floral honey. Botrytis is obvious but it intensifies the concentration and adds that surprise element when you find that the wine is bone dry. The palate is in balance, with delicate florals, a touch of bitterness and plenty of stone minerality to compensate for the low acid. You have to turn your brain on for this one. — 3 years ago
Very drinkable 😂 — 4 years ago
Gorgeous raspberry color, with a slightly fruity nose. Just opened, so will probably open up. And wow. Wow. A beautiful blend tasting like an old world wine. Struggling to identify notes, but dried red fruits, with cedar and exotic notes. Super fine tannins and we'll balanced. If I closed my eyes I'd swear it was a French wine. Such a delight!! — 2 years ago
Smells of cherry and dark berries, tastes like a cornucopia of berries without being overly sweet. Super approachable but packs a flavor punch. — 4 years ago
