Dark ruby purple in the glass. Inviting nose and palate of black cranberry, blackberry, and juicy licorice. Medium full body. Medium tannins (only on the finish). A cru Beaujolais that will appeal to newbies and snobs alike. Just enough fruit. Just enough “stuff.” Drink now through 2022. — 6 years ago
Wine snobs hate Beringer, but this is the bottling that is undeniably one of the most consistently excellent Napa Cabs. I've attended several blind tastings where this wine won... Heavy bodied, with layers of rich black fruit, plenty of oak - this wine has a long life ahead of it. — 7 years ago
Nice workhorse champagne. Probably not enough yeastiness for vrai-champagne snobs, but a lovely, well balanced drop, especially for the ~$30 price point. — 8 years ago
2003 in March of 2018. Fantastic wine. Recorked in 2016. So damn good I can’t stand it. Pretty much everyone, including burgundy snobs, will love this wine. — 8 years ago
Stole this little number from a wine snobs table at the byob spot. 22 years really did a number on this one. softened it but a little too much for my taste. But really insane fruit notes and floral. Strong island vibes. It tastes like a pina colada dead ass. Would not drop the cash required for this bottle (not that I could afford it) but a fun and interesting taste for sure. — 9 years ago
So fruit forward and so easy drinking …. And lovely. Not for snobs or wine intellectuals. For hedonists. — 4 years ago
This is a lovely treat of a wine- light, grapey, peachy and floral. It's sweet but not cloying. It's also a crowd-pleaser that works for wine-snobs and everyone else. — 5 years ago
Consistent from last review. Good wine - great value. Better than the 2016 I last rated. Much more pepper and fresh fruit. Very well made. Completely sold out everywhere currently, and I can see why... wine snobs (like me) and people who rarely drink wine will be equally happy. — 6 years ago
We are not wine snobs. This was a nice Riesling for people who just want to enjoy a glass of wine without overthinking it. — 7 years ago
This was so good they would not even wait for me take a picture of it. This is a delicious Pinot Noir. This is one of those ones that even big cab snobs will enjoy. Rich dark red fruit with luscious tannins that explode in your mouth. Simple a wonderful glass of wine. #California #santaluciahiglands #SoberanesVineyard #Lucia #Pisoni — 8 years ago
Sweet, easy drinking wine. Don't bring if you're looking to impress wine snobs. — 9 years ago
Soft but with character, like a good Red Bank wine should be. Lots of cranberry sauce, blueberry cobbler, and clay aromas with hints of cigar box coming through. Tasty, easy to drink for a Bordeaux, but not as earthy as I'd expect. That said, very solid wine for the price and a good way to trick anti-Merlot Sideways snobs into trying something they claim not to like. — 4 years ago
Always a favorite because it’s smooth and velvety with a rich and delicious berry flavor and wonderful complexity. Some wine snobs tell me this wine is over rated but every time I drink it I’m consistently happy with the flavors. — 5 years ago
Funky fruit yet extremely light, bold and yet no tannin at all. 2017 can be opened already. Bierzo needs no introduction and is very complex but wine-snobs shouldn't try this. — 7 years ago
The absolute best Merlot I have ever tasted. To all the Merlot snobs, you don’t know what you are missing — 8 years ago
Tasted in 2014: This wine needs more love. Pinot snobs probably scoff at anything under $30 a bottle, but this breaks all rules. Bouquet of roses, cherries, raspberries, cedar, and a bit of orange peel. Also some hints of menthol, tobacco, and mint. What else do want from Sonoma Coast? — 8 years ago
