Dark ruby purple in the glass. Inviting nose and palate of black cranberry, blackberry, and juicy licorice. Medium full body. Medium tannins (only on the finish). A cru Beaujolais that will appeal to newbies and snobs alike. Just enough fruit. Just enough “stuff.” Drink now through 2022. — 4 years ago
Wine snobs hate Beringer, but this is the bottling that is undeniably one of the most consistently excellent Napa Cabs. I've attended several blind tastings where this wine won... Heavy bodied, with layers of rich black fruit, plenty of oak - this wine has a long life ahead of it. — 5 years ago
So fruit forward and so easy drinking …. And lovely. Not for snobs or wine intellectuals. For hedonists. — 2 years ago
This is a lovely treat of a wine- light, grapey, peachy and floral. It's sweet but not cloying. It's also a crowd-pleaser that works for wine-snobs and everyone else. — 3 years ago
Consistent from last review. Good wine - great value. Better than the 2016 I last rated. Much more pepper and fresh fruit. Very well made. Completely sold out everywhere currently, and I can see why... wine snobs (like me) and people who rarely drink wine will be equally happy. — 5 years ago
Soft but with character, like a good Red Bank wine should be. Lots of cranberry sauce, blueberry cobbler, and clay aromas with hints of cigar box coming through. Tasty, easy to drink for a Bordeaux, but not as earthy as I'd expect. That said, very solid wine for the price and a good way to trick anti-Merlot Sideways snobs into trying something they claim not to like. — 3 years ago
Always a favorite because it’s smooth and velvety with a rich and delicious berry flavor and wonderful complexity. Some wine snobs tell me this wine is over rated but every time I drink it I’m consistently happy with the flavors. — 4 years ago
