2020 vintage. This Négrette has more power than the Folle Noire d'Ambat, but the tannin is a bit more rustic, and the nose is more smoky/ spicy than floral. This needs food, worked well with lentils. Ce cabernet franc bio de Mathieu Vallée est comme un beau gros bébé rieur aux joues rondes, dodues et colorées de bonheur. C’est qu’il est d’un naturel si poignant que l’on ne peut qu’être désarmé devant tant de franchise. Un rouge fourni, bien mûr, encore une fois parfaitement maîtrisé, débordant de vie.
