Right up my alley but potentially just a little to smooth… very light spritz, bright but not overly fruity

I haven’t had such a classically labeled wine from Jouvres before, but I love it. Pure berry — especially blackberry — flavors with a hint of leather and underripe fruit. The very deepest flavors have great length, which creates a feeling of complexity belied by the initial fruit.

Aerate at least an hour, if you are not used to natural wines. Beautiful dark dress. Rich Malbec nose: plum-like black fruits, fatty animal notes of leather, floral and herbaceous touches. Palate: fresh and juicy, supple with volume. The first sips suggest a short wine; but finely chopped tannins unfold and well with a return to fresh fruit. A very fine thirst-quenching wine, both accessible and deceptively simple.
