Super Tuscan at its finest. Cab elements were in the forefront and the other varietals were a strong supporting cast. Lots of $$$ but worth it at least once or twice. Especially vs Antinori... — 10 years ago
Pretty smooth and no aftertaste at all. With the fishers for a nice super Tuscan before we dip to San Francisco. — 5 months ago

Guado al Tasso San Walfredo 100% Merlot. 2019. Deep, dark ruby coloration. Just opened, On the nose, dark cherry, currants, Florals, oak, and leather with a Touch of vanilla. On the palate, cherry, vanilla, and oak, full bodied and robust. Strong tannins. Will resist after some decanting. Red berry and floral fragrance more prevalent after a little more time decanting. Revisiting again after significant decanting: abundant black cherry, oak and vanilla and on the nose. On the palate, rather jammy fruit, black cherry and berry. A long finish of black cherry, anise, oak and vanilla. Bold, lush and strong tannins. Very, Very long finish. Complex and layered. — 4 months ago
