From the Bellaria vineyard known to have really old Friulano and Merlot vines; some over 100 years old and own rooted. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2022 “Buri Bellaria” Friulano pours a straw color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe orchard fruit: peach cup, grapefruit, Meyer lemon, tarragon, and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, and savory with lovely minerals. Alcohol is high but balanced. A beautiful, refined Friulano with loads of character.
