Vins Breton Reyes

Occi Languedoc Vin Rouge 2016

Plain label. Not indicative of a ‘fine’ wine. Bottle is Syrah-esque though. Lovely dark color. Blackish purple. Smells like earth, mineral oils, smoky plums and sage. Flavors are complex. Licorice, black fruits, olives, mocha, mint and sagebrush. I think it’s actually got plenty of the famous garrigue that I’ve heard so much about. This is a lovely Syrah and Grenache blend with class and character. — 5 months ago

Brown at edge. Pleasant fruit nose. Some dark fruit still nice wine but past prime. — 7 months ago

North Coast Pinot Noir 2018

Medium body Pinot, not bold nor aggressive, flavors of black figs and hints of tobacco. Excellent pairing with Point Reyes steak from the Palace Market. This vintage allowed the meal to take the lead and had a great finish. — 8 months ago

Castello di Amorosa

Sinalunga Super Tuscan Blend 2012

Oh this is really tasty and smooth. Dark fruit aroma of blackberries and cherry. Licorice notes as well. The wine is very smooth and velvety. Had this on our 30th anniversary with Point Reyes blue cheese filet mignon, balsamic Brussels sprouts, and key lime tart for desert. It all paired well together. Go ahead an splurge for a bottle in Sinalunga!!! — 6 months ago
