A perfect pairing with tonight's sausage pizza and lasagna. Took me a minute to figure out who makes this wine, as the producer's name is in the smallest print. Dusty cherries, plums, leather, basil, tea leaves at the end. Fair acidity and a very soft mouthfeel make this chianti a winner.

“Brought” this to the Crew Classé virtual tasting with Antinori’s Renzo Cotarella. So enjoyable to drink this with the wine maker and see inside his thoughts.. in 2020 this is a vibrant gold bombshell from the heavier oaked era. Rounded acid, satin texture, medium bodied, minimal smooth velvet tannin balance, herbal-smoky finish. Texture forward, nice mature notes with great finish.
