Garnet color... On the nose, this is faint cranberry... On the palate, there is again that cranberry note and restrained cherry... Flecks of dried raspberry... This is all dialed back in the fruit department... Though that flavor note may be elegant in style, I'm really having trouble picking anything else out here... The wine is soft, but doesn't really have a shape to me. Powdery tannins are certainly there... Medium... Light body... Medium-low acidity... I don't have a sense of juiciness until the finish... Medium length here. Normally with Pinot Noir, my mind immediately goes to food pairings, but not in this case... The lack of tertiary flavors here really make it hard to come with the usual Pinot Noir accompaniment options... So I'll say I'd try a morning croissant with butter and raspberry jam... Maybe a duck terrine... This is the first wine I've ever tried from Quebec!! — 5 months ago
