Nice desert wine. Very sweet balanced with acidity. — 10 years ago
This wine is a perfect sweet summer wine. I first tasted this wine in the vineyards tasting room where the owner paired this wine with fresh honeycrisp apples straight off the tree. It was the most perfect pairing! — 11 years ago
Good dessert wine. Not overpoweringly sweet — 13 years ago
Deep color. Maroon of blood. Smells lovely. Juicy and fresh aromas with leather and cherry cola. Flavors are dusty cherry and lean red meats. Amazing on point Syrah. Chewy and delicious. — 2 years ago
Lovely Zinfandel from California. Paired it with Indian food prepared by Nick’s mom. Had it with Amel, Roza, Nick and Nick and Roza’s moms — 3 years ago

Tasty with blue cheese. — 11 years ago
Honey wrapped in fruit. Delightful but slightly musty but oddly adds to the flavor. Would love to try another vintage, — 13 years ago
Petite Sirah from WA, cool. Nice expression of the rattlesnake hills on the bottle art. Dark, but not quite black as some Petite Sirah. Smells luscious. Rocks, desert shrubs, and red/black fruits on the stove. Maybe a hint of weed aromas too. Flavors are chewy, complex and savory. Has a nice woody cedar side. Tannic, but not over the top. This is a great version of Petite Sirah. Interesting and deep. — 3 years ago
Comando G’s “village” wine - La Bruja de Roza, is the result of a collaboration between Daniel Landi and Fernando Garcia. This wine is sourced from several vineyards in the vicinity of Las Rozas de Puerto Real (near Madrid). It is described as being “pure Garnacha from granitic sand, La Bruja is perfumed and lively with plenty of fruit with a backbone of acidity and fine tannin.”
If you have not tried any Comando G wines, you really need to seek and try. La Bruja de Rozas serves as a good intro to the Comando G wines. I would describe the 2020 as having notes of currants and red berries, as well as being a bit smokey/flinty. Not smokey in a bad way, but definitely prevalent on the nose. This wine is medium-ish body with 14.5% ABV.

Crisp and refreshing with notes of Apple. So delicious and only $3.99 at Trader Joes! — 11 years ago
Wow! Just incredible! So vibrant and expressive! Bold and subtle in the sense that it has great alcohol content and tannins but it's very bright and with a little aeration it opens up to a beautiful bouquet of ripe plumb, strawberry, spice, and raspberry. Couldn't be more proud of my home state! — 11 years ago
