Pop and pour. On the nose: clove, cinnamon, muddled strawberry, blackberries and sugar. On the palate: at first, ok acidity, and not so well-delineated flavors; burnt sugar, then acidity picks up, and the palate is clearer: blackberry and blueberry, clove, and then a wall of finely grained tannin..the finish is a little too staccato, but good energy after the wall of tannin fades a bit, and good length. Still, very tasty! — 4 years ago
A Cali Zin atypical of fruit-forward Cali Zin exemplars: subtly jammed raspberry with deeply eloquent baking spices, vanilla, and oak. Felt-like mouthfeel and super soft tannins. Loved the winemakers choice of staccato fruit with accentuated spices. Delightful. — 8 years ago
Polished super Tuscan. No jagged edges, black fruits including black currants, blackberries & cassis both on nose & palate, probably spurred by the Cab Sauvignon. Quite substantial mouthfeel but not out of balance, & earthy, almost chalky finish so it’s Italian soul comes through. Preceded an Argentine Asado cooked by (Argentine) friends- imagine it would fit right in w the smoky, salty meats — 8 months ago
Banana white crown with medium foam breaks down staccato. Amphibious glyphs. Smells like the inside of a butternut that has been rinsed with balsamic and mirin, then filled with diced carrot and pickled banana peppers. Oak dusted citrus entrance; tangerine and lemon with their nectarine chaperone. Hay and banana pepper with mined salt and white pepper. Dusty cedar and cypress, oregano and nutmeg. Amazing, gutty beer with nuanced elegance. Full of sass, and bawdy, but a gem of a catch! — 6 years ago
Essences of wet gravel and mountain flowers tempt the nose. Staccato mineral flavors dot the pallet, quickly retreating to reveal a pleasant lemon zest and Herb de Provence flavor that boundlessly lingers. More French than California. Lovely and highly recommend. — 8 years ago
Grippy tannins, intense. classic Cabernet franc. But well rounded and complex. Really enjoying this as it opens up. Might up the rating. — 9 months ago

On the nose this has an earthy grape smell. You can actually smell the smoothness of this wine. The first sip is impressive with soft smooth jazz tannins that rolls every so subtly on the tongue with a occasional staccato note and a light fruit finish. Very easy drinking cab sav with a subtle note of oak that showcases this wine. This wine is delicious. Will definately buy again!!!! — 6 years ago
Gorgeous creamy texture with staccato carbonation. Orange blossom honey, honeycream, pear skins. Loiters gratuitously. All. Damn. Day. — 8 years ago
