Gorgeous dry rose, strawberry notes — 4 years ago
First time trying Le Piane.. well not strictly true, we had a glass of their Erbaluce at the beginning of the evening. Both wines were fantastic. Was introduced by a beautiful restaurant in the mountains (Villa Pizzini). Delicious. Shall be sourcing once back in the UK. — 6 years ago
High quality wine. Beautiful flavours. Had with smoked ribs. Definitely a favourite. — 8 years ago
Craving something bracing, refreshing, and bubbly today so the lovely wine consultant at USQ Wines recommended this Franciacorta that in pairing with a white Neapolitan brasiola pizza.
Brioche and raisin and sun soaked and fennel in the nose.
Good acid and chew. Giving me a fennel type tasting note in the best way possibly mixed with a breast quality. It’s a savory, refreshing tasting experience.

This is for Barone Pizzini Bagnadore Dosaggio Zero Riserva. Toasty, yeasty, creamy, herba - rosemary and tarragon, ripe stone fruit and slightly tropical. Well structured and decadent. 60 months on lees, SS and oak fermented. — 7 years ago

An Australian Sangiovese made by an Australian Italian Family. Not particularly Sangiovese like the real deal but it does have cherry, dark chocolate and aromas of decayed matter. I recall Peter Scudamore-Smith MW saying on our Tuscan trip that he didn’t think there were any top Quality Australian Sangioveses made mainly because we are using the wrong clones. Australian Sangiovese seems to be a work in progress. Had another bottle 56 weeks later on 26th March 2020 with similar notes although showing more varietal characters this time of skins, earth and leather. — 7 years ago
