Salted black licorice and craziness. — 10 years ago
Dope. Elegance of Nero d’avola with mystere of pinea daunis. Oh yah and the boldness of the mountain. Masculine stuff Franky! — 7 years ago
Annual Big Taste of Fort Worth was last night. Huge selection of wines, but I’m just highlighting my favorites.
This was one of my top reds of the night. It was one of those wines that was poured as I was walking by, I started walking off, took a sip, and immediately turned back around and spoke with one of the owners to learn more. This Spanish wine is micro production style. This ‘14 Pinea was astoundingly smooth...velvet. Blue and black fruits mesh well and coat the palate followed by dark cocoa, nutmeg, and just a small hint of American oak. Structure is massive. Would love to try one of these with 5-10yrs on it, but they haven’t been around that long! — 7 years ago

For me personally a little bit too much vainilla and toffee and slightly tannic, slightly chewy tannins. Still elegant and a good representation of #riberadelduero — a year ago
