45% Alicante Bouchet—oooh, a teinturier—plus 30% Syrah (which makes its presence known in smoky, meaty notes) and 25% Alfrocheiro. Hearty wine, textured without being, say, thick. There’s a bit of raisination on the nose countered by salinity, a little licorice and a lot of smoked meat. On the palate, it keeps on with that contrast being heady but also vibrant. There’s some silky chocolate vibes underneath it all. A delight for dinner, but you can sip it solo if you so choose. — 7 months ago
Pazo de Lusco sits in the glass as a lovely, light yellow liquid. The nose shows off the aromas for which the grape is famous - green apples, flowers and minerals. The minerals take center stage on the palate, which is rich and savory. It is the minerals which stand out the most here, making this a great wine for pairing with food. I had mine with a Mexican shrimp dish, but it will fit well with other spicy cuisines, too, like Thai or Cajun. — a year ago
Bright lemon color with stone and tropical fruit aromas and floral scents. On the palate flavors of pear, apples and peaches with lemon citrus and chalky notes. Well balanced with pleasant lively acidity, long finish ending with mineral, citrus and wet stone nuances. Very nice! — a month ago
Startes with kind of buttery fruit note and ends fruity and dry. Very nice. — 9 months ago
2021 vintage. Quinta da Fonte Souto is the first project from the Symingtons outside the Douro region. A 207 hectares estate with a around 45 hectares od vineyards in a cooler climate ( 500 m alitude) than the Alentejo plains. Florão is the entry level. This 2021 is a blend of Arinto ( 80%) and Verdelho ( 20%). Attractive nose with fresh ripe pineapple, flowers and a hint of fresh mint. Crisp and juicy. Very good value. — a year ago

Bright and floral, acidic but not citrusy. Had it with goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes and water crackers. — 2 days ago
