Golden in color. Rich honeyed flavors of chalk and stone. More decadent than most from this AOC. — 10 years ago
Saint-Aubin is a terroir with very few rivals in Burgundy for great value; an AOC loaded with sleeper wines from top-drawer domaines. This is a gorgeous Chardonnay with a broad appeal. Fabulous acidity- almost electric. Fresh, juicy, succulent yellow peach and pineapple mid palate flavors that build into a lemon pith mineral finish with a hint of savory sea spray character. Ripe, fleshy nose balanced by potent floral overtones. Lovely restraint with oak, imparting a delicate custard that intensifies with air. This displays the tension of opposites that I love in classic white Burgundy; the yin-yang of weight and kinetic energy on the palate. This is the kind of wine I adore and would happily drink year-round with or without food. — 7 years ago
Sometimes a lesser AOC with friends is called for... Chez edouard's derrière never tasted so sweet! — 9 years ago

St Aubin can be hit and miss. This is hit. The richness of this Aoc is tempered by the janotsbos mineral and acidic style.
Nose is densely mineral. Like dark stones if that makes sense. Some citrus oil. Very very nice.
Palate has that st Aubin richness. Dense. But balanced by dense minerality. Juicy. Long. Very good deliciousness. Amazing balanced juicy fruit. Blood orange peel. Minerals are more stream bed round stones. I’d make a haiku about them but I’ve had too much wine.
Very good 1er cru. Lacks elite complexity to be better than that but a spectacular drink. Other than jj morel in a good year (which is black magic good) best st Aubin I’ve had.
