64% CS, 28% ME, & 8% CF. No Malbec as listed in the description. I’ve had this for awhile. Didn’t like the first bottle so I avoided trying again. When I did try again I was surprised how much it improved with some age. — 5 years ago

Before I get into the notes, Flora Springs “Trilogy” is one of those wines from my formative years in this wine journey. Subsequently, it holds a special place in my heart. You can probably imagine how excited I was to enjoy the 1994 a vintage I likely drank long ago, out of a double-magnum no less! Giddy.
Popped and poured from double-magnum into red Solo cups and enjoyed her the course of an hour. The 1994 “Trilogy” pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and significant sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated dark and red fruits: brambles, currants, plums, tobacco, old leather, dusty earth and gentle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and the texture is silky. The large format has no doubt had an effect on this wine’s nearly evergreen properties but what a treat! Drink now regardless of format and enjoy this in its full maturity. — 10 months ago
Black fruits, cigar box, black pepper, chocolate and leather. Soft well integrated tannins. — 2 years ago
Great flavor. — 3 years ago
Pale lemon with fresh stone and citrus fruit aromas and nutty floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and grapefruit with honeysuckle and citrus spice. Medium finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, mineral and herb floral character. Tried twice. — 4 years ago
The label is both pretty and evocative of this pretty and evocative wine that feels as though you've literally become the bottle's essence...like a love potion of petrichor and lover's spit HA ;). But really, smells like a field of freshly misted wildflowers beside a deep lake full of mystique, and a subtle kiss of honey that leaves hints of citrus on the lips. Beautifully balanced. Luxurious and sprightly. Alluring and innocent. — 5 years ago
Dark ruby with cherry and leather aromas. On the bud, it’s full bodied with a long finish. Dark fruit, leather, earth, and nice spice. Great with our Calabrese pizza! — 9 months ago
Christmas Day wine 🎄🎅🏼🍷
Acquired this for two reasons: Flora Springs was my “a-ha” wine 10yrs ago which started my wine journey, and secondly because it’s my sister-in-law’s birth year.
Enjoyed on Christmas Day (with said sister-in-law) and family (the family who introduced me to wine + Flora Springs). Kept the bottle standing for a few days. In the glass, there was bricking but the color was much more vibrant than expected. Aromatically, it showed mushroom and fig, but a good bit of muddled red and black berry fruit, some mint as well. Alive, elegant and bright on the palate with good tannin structure (held strong the two hours it was open). Small hint of tobacco at the finish, but the berry fruit stayed persistent keeping the flavors balanced. Undeniably older Napa (13%) and in great shape. — a year ago

Exotic and funky. Good rich dark fruity wine. — 3 years ago
It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delicious Cabernet Franc from Napa Valley.
Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
On the nose black plums, cooked cherries, black currants, cedar, licorice, vanilla, milk chocolates, coffee, black pepper, spices and light earth.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, chocolates, light alcohol, sweet caramel and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a very tasty Cabernet Franc. Easy drinking and good as a sipping wine. Very chocolatey and so smooth and delicious.
Drinking very nicely already, although very young at this point. Would be nice to revisit this in 3 years, and will age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.
Although it is dry, it has a sweet feel, like chocolate covered dried fruits, which makes it very pleasant and interesting.
Good right out of the bottle and much better after an hour in a decanter. Showing nice complexity with a nice, soft mouthfeel. Fruit forward and rich.
Will pair nicely with grilled meats. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses,
100% Cabernet Franc grapes were aged for 18 months in mostly French Oak barrels. A small production of only 250 cases.
14.2% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
