This wine is deep gold with notable haze and visible lees, due to lack of fining / filtration, which gives this wine great texture and weight.
The extended skin contact contributes not only the color and texture, but the aromatic notes of ripe cantaloupe, honeydew, orange peel, grapefruit pith, also dried orange blossom, freshly cut herbs, wet slate, tomato leaf, and salinity.
Vintage 2019. ABV 13%.

Dark golden amber. Pungent grapefruit jelly, orange peel, caramel and honey notes on the captivating nose. Rich and creamy on entry, then lighter and lively thanks to an underpinning of fresh minerality. Caramel and sweet notes last and last. Made with 100% Nasco, this is a famous, multiple-award-winning wine, the charms of which have almost always escaped me; not so in this vintage. One of the very best versions of Latinias ever. Full body.
(06.04.2019) #vinnatur2019 — 5 years ago
Brioche with applesauce and a few raisins on the nose. Very light with a refreshing tartness after initial sweetness. A delicate dessert wine, not too sweet, which doesn't overwhelm the palate. Not very well suited to any rich dessert pairings. — 6 years ago
