This is singing right now. Had the '14 Carlisle version last week and it wasnt quite as open at this stage. After a quick decant Morgan's version is plush, jam packed with dark fruit but braced by solid acidity and moderate tannin. Utterly gulpable now, but just at the very beginning of it's window so no rush. — 8 years ago
2012, like many of Morgan's wine age is a benefit. Pulled from cellar this is one of the better whites I've had in a while.
. Lots of sweet pineapple on nose and palette, oak is nicely ingrained.. Semillion is dominant. Really nice wine. — 8 years ago
Had this Cab at the Morgan's and really enjoyed it — 7 years ago
Lovely effort for Joel Peterson and his son Morgan's new project. Vibrant red fruits evolve over a plush, rich palate. Should only get better with more time in the bottle. — 8 years ago
Lively citrus and waxy aroma... round and medium weight on the palate.... not as mineral and acidic as Spanish examples, no noticeable oak... long lingering finish... Morgan's inexpensive whites (Godello, Albariño, and Sauvignon Blanc) are a real bargain, just wish they were easier to obtain at retail. — 8 years ago
Morgan's Sauv Blanc moves away from a single vineyard source this year and it benefits greatly. More depth and complexity than previous vintages - lemongrass, grapefuit, and loads of acidity. This was actually better on night 2. — 9 years ago
