2006 Vigna Merenda from the Sarmassa hill. First of a four-pack. Gave it a quick aeration. Fragrant nose, whiffs of raspberry, loads of dark cherry. A little alcohol on the nose. Served a bit cold at first, but nice flavors of bright cherry, anis / licorice. Tight and still young. Next night after more time to breathe, much softer: more what seems to be expected from the Vigna Merenda. Glad I have a few more to work through over the next several years. — 11 years ago

Napa cab vibes. Big fruit. Biggish tannins. Is cran-lime a thing? Saliva still firing from the acid.

A little departure from most Nebbiolo, but I like it.
