Well balanced, fruit and stone. Served with smoked salmon pasta. — 6 years ago
A little acidic on first taste but evens out on the finish. A little sweet but very pleasant after decanting. — 8 years ago
Silky tannins. Excellently balanced. 15% but you’d never know it. Dark cherries, vanilla, hints of leather and black pepper.
Outstanding. Elegant. Surprising that the fruit comes from Naramata for such a full body. Can’t wait to try the estate Syrah. — 6 years ago
An outstanding rosé. Created in a Provençal style. A nose of peony, flint and pink grapefruit zest. The palate is well balanced with strawberry and red currant. A lovely rosé from the Naramata Bench. — 7 years ago
Enjoyed the couple years of aging. Wine was softer than I remember from previous tasting. Still bold nose and flavour. — 9 years ago

We checked with Marichel and they suggested we finish the 2013s. Last night we made a grilled sockeye salmon and enjoyed this last vintage. Jess wrote the tasting notes: Colour—showing an elegant tawny sheen in the decanter, deepening to reveal a deep pool of rich burgundy in the glass.
Nose—Everything all at once and warming the nostrils swiftly! Richly stewed plums and bright current overtones with an edge of just sliced green pepper. Dark chocolate with violet petals and granny’s Christmas fruitcake. Hint of earth, wood chips, a drop of orange bitters.
Palate — rich brambly fruit, light oak with faint menthol, cherry cola bright note, lingering savoury notes of leather and cranberry, silky tannins, subtle body. — 9 months ago
