As a 41 year old bald celibate vegan in Bushwick, I shed one long tear just now thinking back to that summer in 2002 when I was teaching ESL in Osaka and followed the Japanese punk band YuraYura Teikoku in a Volkswagen EuroVan with my then Japanese girlfriend and her semi-erotic manga collection. — 6 years ago

Light, crisp, good drinking wine. — 12 years ago
This is a 50/50 white blend of Garnacha Blanca & old vine Macabeu.
Expressive, aromatic nose with white flowers, fleur d’orange, ripe melon. Rich yet fresh & enticing.
On the palate this is very Burgundian - with a nice creamy mouthfeel balanced with fresh acidity. whole bunch pressed & aged in old foudres. Purify of fruit and a nice herby, saline finish.
Highly drinkable and cheap as chips. — 3 years ago
Classic Rioja but slightly muted, with a vegetal/sour edge. After 2-3 hours it opened a bit and has more of a chocolate/earth/vanilla under tone... — 6 years ago
Impressed. Medium body, fruity, goes lovely with pasta a al vodka — 8 years ago
I know this one from Japanese manga Drops of God, finally got a chance to try it. 70% Carignan, 30% Grenache from old vines. Amazingly dark ruby color. Rich and concentrated on the nose. Blueberry, blackberry, plum, mint, black pepper, very earthy nose. Full bodied, medium acidity, I have to say this is some darn concentrated and focused juice. Very fruit driven, like an explosion of fruits, dried fruits also show up. There's subtle heat and sweetness on the finish but doesn't conceal the fact this is a great wine. Wow just Wow 😄 15% alc. 2011 vintage — 9 years ago
Yowza! There's a drinkable Spanish wine. The cork was out and it smelled amazing. — 11 years ago
So apparently this Barolo has been featured in a wine comic/manga (those exist?) as one of the 12 Apostles of global wine. Even though I’m no comic buff, do I buy the assertion? 100%. I wish I’d met this bottle earlier, but nonetheless found it spicy and easy to drink, yet so memorable. — 7 years ago
